The Design Assistant is a key role in our team and is responsible for managing the details and tracking the design decisions that go into each of our projects. An ideal candidate must be able to handle interruptions and shifting priorities with ease.
Responsibilities:
Creating detailed client presentations
Keeping client files up to date
Receiving, organizing and returning fabric and rug samples
Creating floor plans and elevation drawings
Sourcing fabrics and rugs at the San Francisco Design Center
Assisting Senior Designers and Principal Designer
Communicating with vendors, contractors and craftspeople
Delivering finish samples to local fabricators
Maintaining the sample library and keeping client samples organized
Requirements:
4 year college degree in Interior Design or related field
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Proficient in drafting programs (Mac-based), Adobe Creative Suite, Word and Excel
Clear and effective communication skills
Team-oriented, can-do attitude
